Who made it
Bandhani – or “tie dye” is native to Rajasthan and Gujarat in western India. The fabric is hand tied into traditional motifs by female artisans and then over dyed to create resist motifs.
These women have no alternative sources of income and this technique directly empowers women as funds reach their bank accounts and help them educate their children and promote family welfare.
