Bandhani (translates to “tie” or “binding” in English), native to Rajasthan and Gujarat, is created through thousands of tiny hand-tied knots that resist dye to form intricate motifs. Each fabric is folded, bound, and dyed in layers, transforming cloth into a landscape of dots, rhythm, and movement. The process is deeply meditative, guided by memory and inherited skill passed from mother to daughter.
