This fabric is a traditional Andhra ikat. It is made from an ancient yarn tie-dye technique done by artisan communities and then woven into fabric on handlooms.

The fabric has been painstakingly created by an ikat weaving community located in the village of Koyalagudum in Telangana. It showcases a heritage motif created by 4th generation handloom weavers. Each weaver is able to make no more than a few meters a day and the tie-dye process itself takes several weeks.
